What is this?
This interactive player-aid helps you streamline parts of the Talisman 4E Dragon expansion. It virtually shuffles all Dragon tokens, draws them for you, places scale tokens on the Dragon cards and crowns new Dragon kings automatically.
Setup:
- You only need the Dragon cards during the final battle.
- You don't need the crown, strike, slumber and rage tokens.
- Set aside a pile of red, yellow and green Dragon scale tokens to use during the game.
How to play:
- Click "Draw" or press the spacebar, to draw a Dragon token. For example at the beginning of your turn. If it's a Dragon scale, it will automatically be placed on the according Dragon. If not, you will be told what to do. E.g. draw two more tokens on a Strike.
- If you need to draw a token and don't want it to be placed on a Dragon automatically, click the "Draw ..." button. If a Dragon scale is drawn, you will be asked whether to place it on a Dragon or not.
- If you need to remove a token from a Dragon, click the token once to mark it for removal and click it again to confirm.
- Once a character starts the final battle, press "Lock King" (or the L key), so that the crown isn't re-assigned anymore.
- Progress is saved automatically in the local browser cache between sessions. To start a new game, press "Reset Game" above.
About discarded tokens:
The app keeps an internal discard pile, so if the initial 140 tokens run out, the app will-reshuffle only the tokens from that pile. Of course the app cannot track physical tokens that you discard, but since this doesn't happen too often it shouldn't skew the randomness in any significant way.
